About HOWARD COUNTY BALLET
The Howard County Ballet (HCB) was founded by Kathi Ferguson in 1997 to give all area dancers and viewing audiences the benefit of the educational value of fine performances. HCB is unique in that we focus on developing people through the rhythm of dance that runs through all of us. The supportive, noncompetitive environment at the HCB school allows children and adults to grow and thrive as dancers and individuals. We challenge dancers to reach their full potential by providing superior ballet training for children and adults of all levels, novice through professional, with additional instruction in modern, jazz, and character. It is part of our ongoing mission to provide dancers with new and exciting performance opportunities. HCB performs The Nutcracker annually in December and a family-friendly ballet in the spring of each year, both of which are accompanied by live music played by the Howard County Ballet Orchestra. Howard County Ballet is a non-profit 501(3)c organization.
